Does anyone know where I could get some to fit the 9N 3 door?
I don't think the dealer sells them, any ideas at all?

Perhaps one of the tuning shops? You guys have loads of them in the UK.
I'd try German eBay too, but that's me being addicted.

Yeah, I've had a look and they say they only have them for the previous Polos
I think it would be a really nice touch
Anyone else done it?

You can get them for the skoda fabia - i'd guess that they'd fit. Actually, they're pretty ugly:

VW do chrome ones in Japan (3/5 door) with the Polo logo on. Maybe you can get them through VAGParts. I want these myself actually.

Given that my baby's getting its passenger door sill resprayed while it's off on holiday at the dealers (b***** passengers!!!), did anyone find a solution for this?? I'd be really interested to know.
Currently thinking of something like this:

Anyone have any experience of this sort of solution?
Deek.

Well I bought some made by Lockwood, they appear to be the thinnest I could find, although may need a little shaving off them still.
Not sure if you've seen this post or not:

Have you considered this :
http://www.armourfend.com/
Bit pricey for a clear film but works

Dxg, did you see the Seat Ibiza ones I posted not long ago?
I know they're expensive, but surely cheaper than getting your sill resprayed

Yeah - £80 quid, though. And "stable door" - see that over the field yonder? That's the horse.
Still cheaper that the <cough>three-figure-sum</cough> I'm paying at the dealer, but I am getting a whole lot of other scratches and chips sorted at the same time.
I will look into the Ibiza ones when I get the car back, but maybe I'll have to ask Santa for them!
I had hoped to get my paintwork sorted a few months back so the new paint would have time to cure, to then wax it up nicely for winter. But a lack of funds got in the way.
I guess I'll have to wait until Christmas sort of time before I can be confident that a full glazing and Zymoling won't destroy any still-soft paint. By which time, of course, I'll have done some more motorway miles and it'll be chipped again!
On previous cars this didn't matter, but this is my baby we're talking about!
Deek.

Deeper,
I'll look into that Armourfend stuff and see if they have anything for the 9n - I think it's all pre-cut sheets, right?
Deek.

Yep they cut the sheets on site. I watched them do my other car; had the whole lot, front bumper, headlights, wing mirrors, front and rear leading edge of wheel arches, bonnet, sills and door handle recess. Bit obsessive, but no scratches or stone chips
