at the min i have a 98 mk4 polo in red with nice 15's and a cat back system which sounds sweet, however these g40 babies have been catching my eye and are very possibly my next car for sure in thew next 2 years !
just to wet my appetite what cars are known to be eaten by the g40, are they really that quick for the small engine size ?

Ya.. they're very quick cars.

They're approximately as fast and as powerful in relative terms as the 16v golf gti.. so they're pretty damn quick, especially given the size of them
Many people will tell you many stories about what kind of cars they've beaten in a G40, but they're stiff competition for any of the hot hatches about these days, and with a bit of tuning (which is more or less compulsory ) you'll be giving chavs a hammering left right and centre

are they comparible to cars like the old fiat uno turbo??

i don't like to big up what cars g40's can beat, as it all depends on car spec/other cars spec etc...

only cars i've really beaten so far are a saxo vts (had a set of alloys on rear seat aswall as my mate in the car )

be fairly close between a fat uno as they are lightwieght too, but a Polo wont fall apart if you go above 30mph like a fragile rust bucket Uno.

Well said, if my bros experience with his MK1 Golf is anything to go by they'll be a lot more reliable than a Fix It Again Tony as well as a lot better built.
