Anyone got any pics of a Polo GTi lowered 50mm on the standard 15's just so I can get an idea how it looks, something I'm considering in the near future.

Cheers

Tom.

Any side on pics? I think they give a better idea, if not that one will suffice.

polosilver is that dropped 50mm using the eibach springs alone? Didnt think they dropped it that much.. but that looks nice. I know what I'll be investing in come student loan day!!!

Yeah just 50mm Sportline springs.. Its a tad lower now because its warn in, just about the perfect height imo... it definatly lowered the car a full 50mm maybe more at the front, get a ruler and just measure 50mm in ur arch...

Me too, I've been considering whether or not to have coilies (damned expensive) or just the Eibach Sportlines and standard dampers like Phill, and the comparison between standard and lowered in Phill's last post is impressive!

For my own safety (my Mum would kill me for spending ~£600 on coilies) the Eibachs are by far the most attractive option. Roll on May '06

Honestly lads, you wont regret it, i insist you drive my car if you come to a show. The ride is f*****g exactly the same as stock. Any lower and it would look like the suspension was f****d. Everytime i look @ it i think, damn 10mm lower and it'd be perfect but it wouldnt look right. If/when i get 16's the arches will be totally filled.

I cant recommend these springs enough they are superb!!

Mine 55mm about on 16's, has to be that high on front cos it catches bumper mounts on aggressive cornering!!

go 80mm! 8) but if you don't like a hard ride don't go for coilies!

Moynas, i think you should get the rear door handles shaved then use the rear handles to delock the front ones :D

Looks good but i like the turn and hold the key down to do the windows up feature so gunna keep th locks!!

Rear doors have already been thought about and are next when i get the rear bumper done!! But turbo/charger or body mods umm!!

Does that happen on all of them? Is it only if you put the key in and turn it then, not on the keyfob when you point and press?

To make the windows open, put key in door, then turn to open and leave turned for 2 seconds and the windows start to descend.

To close the windows, simply do the same but to key to lock position.

One of the cool little tricks i think all modern VW's do. 8)

P.S Just had my coilies fitted today and i'm loving them already. Yes they give a hard ride and aren't speed bump friendly, but the look they can give the car and cornering improvement is immense. I like the fact hat if one day i decide i want some 16" alloys i can just increase the ride height with the simple turn of a C-spanner. 8)
