I hate that too - Just had a weekend meet/party at the house of another member from another car forum and there list of who was coming was about 15 ppl - only 6 turned up and 80% lived closer than me but still couldn't be bothered driving there - So much for car enthusiasts....
I drove from mine in Dunstable (J9 M1) to Cardiff and other can't drive when there half the distance compared to me!!!

i pulled out of the polo show due to a rough running car. however i still turned up at the convoy point that i organised to let everyone know etc.
managed to get some much needed work done on the g today tho,so that made up for it

yeah, i absolutely hate that phenomenon ... get yourself a good party list on the go and then no bugger turns up but for a few regular liggers, with nary an excusing phone call or anything... ruins the atmos something chronic.
(which is why i always said i almost definately couldnt make it this year - better a surprise attendee than an obvious no-show)

All the usual animals were there anyway, it was like a bunch of cavemen at a feast.

I didn't say I was coming, so that rules me out!
I spoke to Steve Sherwood as he entered the petrol station I was just leaving. He told me it was an excellent show.

Good to see you guys again, shame that its same old faces though. *cough* Metz and CBurns*cough/*
Anyways, glad to here you all got home ok. Well apart from my mate Rob, he's currently on the intensive care unit in Rotherham General Hospital.

Only joking.
Those lot of you who didn't turn up cause it was a bit damp, (panzie's) it was a good show. But alcohol does tend to brighten things up.....or erase the memories of rain.
See ya next year guys.

We're like the older brothers that make all the sensible decisions
