What's the point, the doors lock when your speed reaches 10mph. I thought it'd be better to lock when you start the engine and unlock at speeds over 10mph. Someone can still open your door in a traffic jam.

Does anyone have this function enabled?

Don't they stay locked until you turn off the ignition? I thought that was how it should work...

i would also like to know if this auto-lock works on new polo.
would be more secure in traffic.

as far as i know there is only the anti-hijack locking feature on remote where if you press unlock once only drivers door opens to stop people opening passenger doors in traffic light etc...

on beeper alarms there is a feature which, when activated is anti car jacking it goes like this
when u arm the anti car jacking it watches the doors* and if it senses one has been opened then you have one minute until the car dies and starts screaming like hell. once this has happened the remotes dont work, the car wont start and it stays screaming, until you dis arm it using one of the remotes (special combination)

*this is also with the doors locking after 30 sec at all times whether anti car jacking is armed or not

My dad's car has an aftermarket alarmsystem fitted that locks the doors the first time you hit the brakes after starting the car. Pretty cool, it unlocks the doors once the ignition is turned off. Very useful anti-carjacking/interior theft prevention feature.

On the new polo once the mph hits 10 it locks. And it unlocked until you take out the key of the ignition and the dome lights turns on and only the pilot door to.

Anyone knows if this function can be activated and/or deactivated by the VW seller? My Polo doesn't have this function
The only thing i have is what tdisport told about pressing the remote once to open just driver's door.
Any help?
