P*ssed Off. VW Used approved Warranty etc.......

Put my GTi in today at the local VW dealers for 2 known problems.
Firstly, passenger electric window will not work.
Secondly, an intermittent problem where the car starts, idles for a couple of seconds and then loses revs and stalls. This has not happened for a while but thought it would be worth looking at.
Whilst looking at these they also found an exhaust bracket had broken.
Had the car used approved from VW since April which came with a 1yr warranty and breakdown assistance.
It turns out that the warranty will only cover the starting problem (some temp sensor apparantly) and have quoted me £260!!! for the electric window motor and £120 for the bracket.
WTF!!! Needless to say I have told them to do the sensor and bugger all else.
I am thinking of getting in touch with the guy at the dealers who I bought if off because I have had the car 5 months, backed up by a VW warranty and now I have been told I would have to fork out £260 to replace an electric window motor. I am hoping they may be able to do something as a goodwill gesture but I willl not be holding my breath.
Anyone any ideas where I could get the work done at a much cheaper price?? Chester area by the way.......
Cheers in advance
