Whats every1 fink of the VW show scene this year? First year back 4 me after a 3 year break, and have found it very disappointing? Hence my move to Ford!

To me, I'm more motivated than ever. I had a higher-than-average interest in cars before my VW, but the dub scene is so massive that it's just spinning out of control now.
Went to a lot of meetings too, and so far it's confirmed my enthusiasm. This is what I'll be doing for a long while to come. I'm sure of it.

I'm glad to hear that, not sure, but I reckon Europeans get a better deal than us, from the European show pics I've seen, things do look very rosy over there compared to here, not enough shows here for a start, I feel.

Well, the Uk people are car mad as a whole, whereas the Dutch are more concerned with mileage than performance. The tow-hitch is the number one accesory here on new cars... Ever noticed all those caravans? I think we invented those! (Probably not, but we have too many!)
Show-wise, the Germans have the lead, hands down. They are truly treating dubbing as a lifestyle, and it's addictive.
So why the change from VW to Ford? Just a change of scene, as it were? You've seem to have reached a very 'advanced' level of dubbing, judging from that amazing mk4. Is it something like quitting while you're ahead?

Guess it boils down to speed! I bought an mates Escort RS turbo to run around in to save the Polo, it was cheap enough and well looked after, one thing led to another, went to a few Ford shows, and got into it, good bunch of lads which is probably another reason...Anyway selling turbo and Polo to get Escort Cosworth..fingers crossed!

It just depends on where you come from.
Japs love nissans/mitsi/toyotas/etc...
The french love Saxos/Renos etc...
The Germans love Dubs
And we love old skool Fords and Vauxhalls
Notice a pattern? the country the car comes from tends to have to biggest scene
