Hey as i've just got got myself a G40 i have a few questions which i need to ask??

Got this hose below which runs from the back of the block to a hole into the wheel arch. It has a plastic bottle attached to it. Is this a breather hose and if so whats the bottle for??



The charger in mine has had this part blanked off and from what i've been reading i need to get myself some PTFE grease/oil???? i think this is right and spray it into the charger whilst it's running every 1K or so can anyone tell me exactly what i should do and also is there not some sort of kit that you can buy which does this itself?




The brakes on the G are pretty shocking is this normal??? and if so whats the best thing to do?? conversion, uprated disks/pads??

1. Thats the oil catch tank matey. Sorry its not too blingy and shiney, however just as effective.

2. Take the filter collar off, while its idling just spray some in. Make sure the car is running. Buy some from www.pitstopdevelopments.com About £10 plus P+P. Sorry I ran out otherwise I would have sorted you out.

3. Get audi 80 calliper carriers, 256 mm discs for mk2 late spec 16v golf and callipers off the same car. Obvioulsy uprate the master cylinder and change fluid.

Does this fill up very often and if so is it just a case of taking off the cable tie and then emptying it and putting it back on the same way??

When was the last time that you sprayed the charger so that i know when it will need doing again.

Don't worry i intend to look after it mate just want to get as much knowledge about the g40 as possible!!

It takes a while for it to fill. Dont be worried by the look of the horrible browny oil. Just cut the tie and throw it away. Then swap it for another fresh bottle. For example, lucozade or small volvic water bottle.

Probably was sprayed about 6 wks ago. I used to spray it monthly.

Nice one will keep an eye out for it filling up then!!

Will need to get onto pitstop and order some then just to be on the safe side.

Only the best bottles for the you wasn't it Lap! The G's got Volcinicity!

Enjoy the G Mr Burns, it was a goodun in Lap's hands and we did some good cheeky mods to it, for maximum quickness!
