Simple question re: getting the battery out of an 02 Polo

Newbie here so go easy on me guys!! 
Once you've disconnected the electrical leads how do you release the battery from its secure mounting?
Any help? Is it to do with the plastic clips holding the plastic box surrounding the battery in place?
