Can somebody offer me a bit of friendly insight. I have bought myself an ashley exhaust system aka this one

AVWS2
( Polo Mk2 (84>90) 1.1/1.3L - 2'' Twin Box System - 3'' Round Tailpipe )

For my 1986 Mk2 polo and now I have the cash i would like to buy the manifold to go with it but am not sure if i'm looking at the right one since it doesn't tell me what mark or year it's for.

This is the one i've got my eye on

AVWM1
Ashley VW Golf/Polo 1100/1300 manifold AVWM1

Now can anybody tell me if it's definatly safe to click on go to checkout?

yea sounds like the one- all polo 1.05 and 1.3s have the same ports, ashely are notorious for having a sh*t connection between the system and manifold so be warned!!!I had to deal with this problem by making a custom flexi pipe and so did polokris.....

mine was sumwot trouble free compaired to yours zombie, ashley in the end sent me a straight bit of pipe. and it was a straight fit! my manifold was a perfect fit too. they dont make them 4 the 1.0, so i got the 1.3 one! works 4 me! ;)

I just put my manifold on at the weekend, it proved fairly trouble free, I did have to drop the anti roll bar a bit and take the rad fan off to slide in the manifold but apart from that it all went well.

I've got to get a bit of flexi as yet to finish putting it together, the only option i've found is to buy a 2 metre long piece and cut it down. This costs 25 quid so does anyone have a better idea since i only need about a foot.

i say go for the whole Ashley system... they will then give u the connection pipe, all in. but make sure u ask for it! ;)

other than that, id say u'd have to go sumwhere to have it dun, unless ur up for the challenge! :D

piccys if u do! :D

you have got to have a flexible part otherwise the exhaust will crack.
