from the last show of the season to the first of the next
:D

but seriously if you're gonna do it properly then from when the clocks go back till the clocks go forwards sounds about right.

I put mine on about 3 weeks ago and they will probably be on until mid march or so. 8)

I know im going to look a lil bit stupid but what are the main benefits of winter wheels and would it be worth me spending £100 or so to get a set !

^^ ROFL!

1litreheater, the advantage of having winter wheels is that you can take off, clean up and store your summer wheels for the winter months whilst the gritters are out and the bad weather rolls in. In the case of alloys like mine (split-rim) the winter conditions lead to corrosion and this isn't really desirable! So you have your shiny show season alloys for the spring and summer months, and your winter wheels for the dark, cold and wet months at this time of year  the bottom line is that winter = cold = salt on roads = damage to alloys with chrome or special finishes, or split-rims.

Aaron, I reckon you're about right, October/November through to about March/April or so :)

Cheers

I dont change mine....

Just got a new set off alloys so suppose you could call them winter wheel even tho they aren't...

Mind you I've only had my car 4 months so I dont know about the benefits & so on so dont listen to me!

Mine went on the weekend after the Utterly Vee Dubberly show.

My Porsche rims are now tucked up safely until the spring.

I've not washed my car for almost a month either hehehe... It's black. You can hardly see the rear numberplate

I've gone two and a half weeks so far without finding a decent opportunity of having the time and the good weather to get something done about washing the car :( mind you travelling the back roads of north Shropshire means that the car is brown now instead of it's original shiny black :?

Mine is getting washed once a week at the moment. If i get the chance (and the weather) it will be even more often.

I'm quite lucky though, car only does about 7 miles a day.
