Del_GTi, its the rollin road at my work, Falkland Performance Centre, in Fife.
Jordan, all i had was a K&N induction kit, main de-cat, and run on 97Ron fuel...
i now have a FSE power boost valve so i'll play wi that when i get my car back on the rollers at the weekend

hi there, nice video.
Can you tell me where you got your FSE power boost valve, been trying to find one for ages. Can't seem to find one for the gti engine

You've got a power boost valve
I hope that combined with your other mods it does you more good than bad, although I think every application is different tbh. I asked about them a long time ago and was put right off thankfully. A mate of mine, who I mention in
this thread, has still got his attached and instead of removing it to try and regain smooth running (it's a bit sick, his car) he has bought a brand new Peco duplex exhaust for something in the region of £400

i got the valve thru my work i mentioned earlier... its the same valve used for the golf vr6 although there is 2 types offitting, 1 with 2 bolts holding the original regulator, and the other style with 1 bolt holdin a clip that hold the original regulator, hope that helps?
si_GTi - since havin the valve on the car (i also have the wee pressure gauge to set pressure properly) it does actually feel a bit better on acceleration and on all my power curves so far, there is a small dip around 3000rpm (not just with my gti) so hopefully the FSE valve will take this dip out and give me a smooth curve!
also - i hope ur mate isnt putin this duplex peco thing on a gti??
im keepin my standard back box thank you please

How did you get the main decat mate?
Does it give a nice metallic sort of noise from it without being too loud?

There is a lambda sleeve which you can buy to put the sensor in, i'm not sure how effective they are though.
I've heard that the EPC light may still come on intermittently.

i managed to get a bit straight pipe with a lambda boss in it so i just made the de-cat around that pipe which luckily is the same diameter as the original system pipe!
basically a bit straight pipe with the lambda hole, a sleeve section for each end and job done
there has never been any management faults comin up so it works fine!
remember the small pre-cat is still there!

u can hear the de-cat note on half throttle when its not enough throttle to hear the induction noise, nice little tinny noise which i like to hear all the time! its not really loud as the induction noise takes over on full throttle, but drivin normally thru town i always give it just enough throttle to hear the de-cat

i love it lol
