i've found the cause of the wise on my 1.4 8v 6n. It's the aux drive belt tensioner. A 40 quid visit to GSF and i have what looks like the pully tensioner attached to a large spring. How do i remove the old one from the engine? What do I have to remove, radiator, alternator on top of the belt?
Thanks

From inside drivers wheel arch, remove the plastic engine bay cover.
Remove Aux belt (by releasing tensioner) then unbolt old tensioner. Replace with the new one and refit the aux belt (check if you need a new one while you are at it!

Not according to VW and GSF. Yes you can change the Pully but I've just got a new one and it has come with the tensioner unit attached to it. If, and it's still an If right now, the new pully won't fit the old unit how do I change the Tensioner unit.
