do the heated door mirrors come on when the rear windscreen heat is put on?

I believe that is correct...mine seem to clear when I switch it on.

mine just dont do anything v fast, but has not been really icy yet. does anyone know if the washer jets are heated?

The wing mirrors don't react very quickly on my car either, in comparison to the rear window. Still work though

I *think* that heated washer jets may have been a part of the optional Winter Pack, which also included heated seats. So I reckon if you've got heated seats, you'll have heated washer jets, and if not, then not

Neither of my wing mirrors heat up, not sure if it's the actual element or the connections are corroded, still to solve that one.

As for the heated washer jets, i have those but don't have heated seats. I thought all the gti's had heated jets.

Best way to check is remove the little plastic oval shaped cover on the under-side of the bonnet and see if there are any wires connected to the jet.

The only reason i know this is i had to replace one last year.

And, if i remember correctly, they work off outside temperature, so that the colder it gets outside, the warmer the heated jets get.

mine work fairly quickly, soon have steam coming off the mirrors!

Could do with tiny wipers to clean them though, absolutely filthy!
