SNOW!

Birmingham got all of 1 and a half inches, oh my god, the world is going to stop turning :D

oooh pretty ... and its not even december. Got a funny feeling thats the last we'll see of it though, apart from sheet ice tomorrow morning.

Still strange how it brings out the moron in some people. Sure, the entire line of traffic for three miles ahead is running at a smooth 20 to 25mph as most folk have done the sensible thing and eased off in order to reach home 10 minutes later, but alive... of course thats an open invitation for you to ride my arse. Divot. And, no, don't feel you have to round a blind bend in a tunnel at anything even close to the speed limit even though a/ its the rush hour in a city that has walking-pace gridlock on this particular road on 90% of evenings b/ its been quite obviously bucketing down with frozen water for the last four hours. It's alright. Your insurers will pay for the damage caused to your van and the vehicles and bodies of the first five people at the back of said gridlock queue.

But still. oooh. pretty :)
*slips over, falls on arse*

Bit sad really here in town, it was kind of weak. I was in Stafford until about 4pm and it had been snowing really quite well for a few hours, so there was a good covering, and on the way back down the M6/M54 the fields alongside the M-way where snow-white and misty, all picturesque :)

By the time we arrived back in Shrewsbury just over an hour later, there was no snow whatsoever on the sides of the road, looks like it had tried and failed to snow with any consistency so we just got rain instead...

Bah humbug :?

i've only had 10 minutes of a pretty poor excuse for snow so far down in the south east, although that's probably a good thing, southerners aren't designed for snow :) everyone panics thinking it's the end of the world, mothers buy out entire shops worth of tinned foods and then go into hibernation...well maybe not quite that bad but you get the idea

None in Norfolk either and me snow tyres are fitted balanced & ready and waiting on steelies to be dropped onto the Polo - don't want to fit em too early cos the ride will be awfull and they aren't very wide!!!!

Still should improve the fuel consumption for a while and keep the salt off the splitties!!!
