Not sure abt the GTi but when I had my Mk4 Polo I didnt notice a difference, however when i removed my induction kit and went back to just a K&N filter I notice quite a difference, less pull..................

Wanna geta BMC on my GTi but have to wait till warrentee is up

hey i have a bmc on my car (only power mod i have), cost £160 ish, and was worth every penny, i have noticed a big difference in torque and power response, and the noise it produces just cant be beaten!! better than any other filter ive heard!

they did a test on a 106 gti 120bhp without the filter and an increase of 9bhp with the filter on, so you can see wot its gona do to our engine.

theres a big reason why the bmc is £160!

hope that helps

Why do you have to wait till your warranty is up. :)

Any mods will invalidate it, dont wanna take out and put back in if i need to go back to VW or when the next services is up, rather wait till my years over then do all the mods then.

I have a few in mind..............

Cool. It doesn't take to long to put back in again if you change it
but it can be a pain in the neck. What mods you got planned.

Personally, if you don't get a BMC, then a K&N Panel filter will do a very good job for a fraction of the cost.

Don't get a 57i or PiperX etc as they just draw in lots of hot air and actually make your car slower.

IMHO the only induction kit worth getting for the GTi is the BMC, but even then, I reckon you'd be better off with a panel filter and putting the rest of the money towards a remap.

Smooth bumpers front and rear.
Black VW badges front and rear.
Polo Badge removed.
BMC induction.
Full Exhaust (Supersprint most likely)
Dropped abt 45-50mm.
Larger mirror on the passenger side to match drivers.
A remap or chip upgrade.
Finaly the outer lip polished on my BBS rims.

and also so some ICE not base in your face but for quality sound.

Thanks guys,

As I'm in Hong Kong, that should be a costy postage on top
with the BMC kit.

I think I better off DIY my own induction kit, my budjet is tight
at the moment.

Cheers.

I think you mean what induction kit u should use as BMC is a type of induction kit.

I reckon u should use a panel filter I have 1 for sale if u want low mileage, K & N Panel filter for the GTi Orginal price £40, private mail me an offer if u want.

It makes the car slightly louder and improves the breathing and improves the pull of the car..............

Shouldn't make any, any initial change you notice will be shortly seen as an anomoly by the ECU and compensated for.
