I bought a set of angel headlights about a month ago, mainly becuase they looked nice, but also because the wire to the dipped headlights kept on burning. The insulation around the wire kept on melting, but the bulb left intact, with the exception of the grey tip that would fall off. The same has just happened with my new lights (passenger side).
What do I do????? The wires are now messed up, how do i replace them and how can i prevent it from happening again???
I would appreciate any feedback! Thank you

It could be a bad connection onto the bulbs, causing it to over heat or has somebody put uprated bulbs in the headlights instead of standard wattage bulbs

Well, I've always had 80W bulbs on the car. They have a nice blue colour to them. Do you think it could have been that???
What bulbs should I put on then?? I hate the yellow colour on headlights!
P.S. Nice wheels!!

what is happen is , when you put a higher wattage bulb in the headlight it drawn more current (amps) becausing the wiring and connector to heat up and melt , as you said the were fine before you put the angel eyes headlights in ,is it the same bulbs you are using when you had standard headlights

i got an uprated wiring loom with mine which i used,,,is yours using standard wiring,,,if so the extra power that the new lights are drawing through your wiring will destroy them,,,,ps your car looks fantastic.

I've heard that PIAA are really good, but they're not legal. They state to produce much more than they draw. Does this mean that the temperature in the headlight housing will increase much. Since i've changed my headlights, I now have plastic lenses. Will they hack it??
