Fitting coilies

Ive bought some FK Highsports Coilovers for my 9N. I would have attempted to fit em on my MK4, but because this is a newer car i dont want it to f**k up. Does any1 know how much it would cost to fit, or any1 know any places or any1 in London that would be able to do it???

Also the creaky suspension thing, ive noticed a slight creak downhill but very rarely. it might just be me. but will fitting coilovers sort this creak too? is it just the original dampers and springs doing this?

Cheers 8)

so, u must be dubking123   congrats on your first mod!

its the bushes that make the creaking i was told by VW, as for fitting ive been quoted in the region of £90-£180

hope this helps a bit :)

EDIT: if someone can post a DIY writeup, that would be ace! 8)

I was going to do a DIY guide but doesn't look like i'll be putting mine on till at least February now due to a service at the start of Feb.

Anyone else does one in the mean time would be useful

thanks mate :D , yeah well being a new car for me i was originally going to get it done. But having told that its quite easy, i may just save the cash and do it myself, try and do a DIY guide if i do, still thinking.

So is the creaky suspension just a noise? or is it a sign of the sus bushes on their way out?

I think changing the back is straight forward enough, but the front is awkard, ive heard of people braking ABS censors etc?

How much did you get your coilovers for?

£260 delivered :!:

as for the creaks, take it straight to VW and theyll replace them for ya, i took my car in 6 days after i got it brand new. takes bout 4 hours for them to get it sorted. i would get that done b4 u fit the coilies (if the bushes are needed )

Am i right in saying that suspension bushes are only at the back???

Im getting a creaky / rattley noise from the front passenger side suspension! i think anyway. It only makes a noise when going gentley up a steep hump

and only when going over a hump. This is occasional. There was a noise at the back too, but found out just today that it was the spare wheel jack and spanners in the boot making the noise. So im thinking that it wont be the bushes? can any1 shed any light to this?

There are bushes front and rear. Have a look at powerflex, the kits arent expensive, is the fitting that would be an arse!

where from??? i'm planning on getting coilys for the ibiza in the new year!!
i've had a few rattles on the ibiza (same chassis as the 9n) including a suspension link rod cracked, an anti-roll bar bush cracked plus a wheel barring gone!
now i have another squeek which happens randomly but i can make it happen by rocking the car side to side!! dry bush maybe??
