Polo Gti Oil Coolers

Yo pehoples

anyone here know how thier oil cooler functions?

is it constantly in the flow of the coolant?

or linked to the same flow as the radiator?

anyone know?

The oil cooler is situated behind the oil filter, I have attached a diagram for u.

yea thanks, i have one infront of me, i know what they look like

just wondering if anyone knows how they operate

I would hope they are flow controlled by a thermostat so they are only used when the engine is hot

It seems that this oil cooler not cool down by the cool air flow, right??
