Guys, need a bit of advice.

Twice now the Oil Pressure warning light has come on and been accompanied by a beeping noise. Both times I had just started the car and was driving off, each time I stopped straight away and checked the Oil.

It was halfway between min & max so the level is ok. When i started the car again the light didn't come on. Should I be worried? is my engine gonna go sieze on me?

when did you last change your oil filter?

could be a bit blocked, or if its been changed recently, a duff one? (I've had a bad experience of FRAM filters in the past)

could be a dodgy pressure sensor... but i wouldnt jump to that conclusion without proof, could be costly!

Right, the filter has been changed about 8k miles ago, its due for a service in 2k. The oil was changed 3k miles ago tho (I didn't do the filter cause its tricky).

My thoughts exactly. Its only ever come on when the car is cold. Each time it happened I was reversing out the driveway, I turned the car off, checked the oil and restarted the engine, once restarted it didn't come on again.

The oil level has always been about halfway between min and max, so its not been low.
