I can't help but have been planning the same, what's underneath?
I mean does it leave any holes or is there just hardcore adhesive to get off, and if so, how do you get it off?
I'd rather not take one off to find i've messed the car up!

if we are talking about the bumper strips along the side of the car, they are stuck on with hardcore ahesieve! as for the arches, they have black headed rivets on the edge of the arch and hadcore adhieve!
i recently took the stip off my old blue mk3 polo, they are on there pritty tight! to aid in my work, i used a hair dryer which heated up the glue and made it loosen up! its still not an easy job if you don't want to damage the paintwork, luckily it didn't matter to me cause i was changing the door! i'd try leavering the bump strip off being extra careful not to damage the paint! then of course u'll be left with the remainder of the glue like this:
then its a case of, tar/bug remover, hard work and polish!
as i perviously said, be very careful not to damage the paint, light scratchs can be removed with T cut, but deep gouges are no good! try and protect the stuff you have already removed, and if you need to leaver onto it, try putting something under the leaver to prevent to touching the paint!
I hope that is of some help to you! if you need any more help, i'll try to help you out, and if i can't someone must be able to!
regards
Doug

i was talking about the red and silver strips that run under the windows dunno if all gt's have these as standard? the red strip was easier to take off but the silver 1's a bastard

i just dont want these cause i want my car to be simple it's black and im gonna get some black wheels for it make it look real sleek!

warm them up with a hair dryer, should make them eaier to remove as the glue will soften.
