cam shaft seized

i was just wondering if anyone has come accross this problem before, i was driving a long and loads of smoke started coming out the car before i knew it the cam shaft had seized and the timing belt had jumped causing the valves to bend etc now my car is Fcuked but thank god its under warranty and is getting fixed as vw said it would cost more than 2000

I've never come across such a major fault myself, bet your very happy the car is still under warranty! I came close to the same kind of problem once, but I got lucky and not too much damage was caused - again this was under warranty :D

Look in the thread about "CamBelt Tensioner Failures"....Pretty standard damage for a Polo Gti...

its done 50k but thank god i took the £400 warranty
