vw warantee

i bought my 51 plate last august privately, and the vw warantee had presumably expired, am i able to pay and get a vw warantee now?

I believe the car has to be a certain age, mine is X 2001 and they said that I couldnt extend it, got my car in late November 2005
SO for the next 11 months intend to drive it alot and make the most of it.

You got it privately hmmm am not sure then drop them a call, I believe it must have full VW History and service.

What should happen is that before your warranty expires they will send you a notification letter (in my case several, obviously they want you money!) and this will give you details on how to renew. Now the problem is that there was a problem with the VW warranties, something to do with the financial regulatories and VW had to with-hold from renewing any warranties, this was last August and as far as I am aware they have not resumed the warranty service, would be interested in in finding out if they are still able to offer it though. You might want to give them a call, please let us know how you get on...thanks.
Oh pants...fell for the same mistake, didn't read it properly! Man, you should put the 'privately' in bold!
