water inside the Head light

Any GTI owner got this problem before??

yep, same side as well. just picked my car up on saturday and it has condensation like that.... phoned up the garage and they said the lights do 'breathe' and it should dry out....but if that's the case then why are they both not like that...


gonna drop in to my local dealer at the weekend and see what they see.

Yeah my one side repeater does it, just get the hair dryer out :D

Does the haed light has a hole which can release the water steam??

I think it does, so turning them on should remove it all

same here, very slightly especially after washing, Mine has never been that bad.

Maybe to do with the climate in Hong Kong.............

My headlamps don't do it, but my indicators on the wings do slightly, after a wash usually.

The only thing I have in any of my lights is a few dead bugs, which are in the drivers side front indicator (next to the headlight)

Mine went the same it had a tiny little crack on the back which made it fill up!

So much water i could have had a gold fish in it!

Problem was solved by buyin a new one £50 off ebay with the xenon bulb!! Top bannana!!

Mine does it too, prolly not as bad, the indicators have slight bit of mold on the inside which annoys the hell out of me.

And the plastic which covers the headlights have been stone chipped a little :( can you buy a replacement plastic cover?

In order to solve this problem, I have plane to drill a small hole from
the back of the light box :evil: :evil:
