ahh good new mate! that will always be good for when its raining! you gonna de-lock your doors or leave the locks in? on my G40 i changed just the passenger side for a de-locked one as i didn't fancy having to break a window if the keyfob decides to pack up!

is it in conjunction with an alarm?

regards
Doug

i've got a really old alarm (although seems a pretty good professional one) but the key fob is broke on it so i can't use the alarm so it's not wired in although it can be if i wanted to...you gotta wire it to the alarm even if it's just so the lights go lol. i'm not sure about de-locking actually, that's a good idea actually just doing the passenger side, as you said i don't wanna have to break a window if my key fob battery dies lol. i might do that at some point, you just get a rear door handle from a golf right?

you are right about needed a rear door handle from a 5 door golf or jetta, however you did need to make a tiny adjustment!

its quite simple, just need to nock out a pin, change the flipper and put the pin back on.

i thought i said in the guide but it was a company called DIYGti on ebay, just type in remote central locking and they'll be loads from the same company, they're all the same kit despite saying different car models, but i bought a polo one just to cover myself incase it didn't fit. i got a 4 door kit for £35
