Instrument Cluster - Chrome Rings?

Anyone done this mmod to a 9n? I guess it's pretty simple, just wondered if anyone had a recommendations based on their experience

Before removing the cluster don't forget to remove the negative pole of your car's battery.

It`s easy i done them on mine, as vwclub.gr says disconnect the negative terminal on the battery first, then you`ll need a torx screwdriver think it`s a size 20, the screws are located between the steering wheel and the cluster "obviously" lol, once you have them off carefully pull the cluster out and on the back you`ll need to disconnect the terminal on there, then you`ll need to pull the clips off to separate the cluster from the actual speedometer, after that carefully put the glue on the chrome rings not too much or it will overspill i done it

then fit the rings in then just leave for 30-60 mins to dry then connect all back up, take these instructions at your own risk tho lol,but they worked fine for me, it`s a worthwhile little mod imo

I like your stereo vwclub.gr, I have the same one in my room in it's box waiting to go into my Polo.
Took it out when I sold my last car, great H/U

i also got my rings from
www.tachoringe.de without any problem. I highly recommend it & changes the look of the cluster more than you would expect
