I was having serious concern the other day about my car. Seems that the gearbox looks like it's on the way out (just after I sold the gearbox, doh!). So I'm thinking of selling up when that's done.

Anyone have any ideas of next car? I was thinking of spending around £2/3K on the next car just so I get a decent car. Can't really complain at my car
cheep to buy, cheep to insure.
I was thinking I'd rather a MK5 insead of MK4 but if push came to shove and I found a nice MK4 then I'd settle for that. Though I still want it to be nippier than what I've got now if I'm spending more than... 1k on it.

How cheap can you get the 16V Mk5s now?

dnt really like mk4s, mk5s are nicer. not really sure bout prices tho it all depends on engine ud b after

my 1litre mk5 was sold on by the garage i gave it to for 5k, no questions asked!! u should be able to get a pretty decent mk4 valver for 3k if u look in the rite places!

£2-3k will get you a Golf 16vs and VR6s, Corrado G60s or VR6s, Ibiza 2.0 16vs, or even a Civic VTi, 200SX, etc etc!

hhmmm maybe my next car wont be a polo then?

you can get a low milage 1992 celica gt-4 for £2-3000 and they are only group 17 insurance
