What cars did people consider when buying their polo gti?

I considered getting a Lupo GTI, Golf GTI, A3, Suzuki Cappuccino.
I know the last one might seem a bit stupid. But after driving one i really wanted one. Its such a fun car to drive.

also looked for golf Gti 1.8T, and was also looking a Civic Type R, but need 5 doors for impending arrival, and decided money could be spent better elsewhere at the moment!

polo gti was more worthwhile or me, with insuranc being much cheaper, and with it being better built too

It seems that the insuranc of Polo GTI is little bit high in UK, why??

The GTi was insurance group 11 last time I checked.
As for other considerations:
Audi A3,
Golf GTi Mk3 or Mk4,
Lupo GTi,
Land Rover Defender,
Toyota Hi-Lux pickup.

Polo gti is actually group 12
... was 11 but they moved it up one.
