Just wondered what every1 uses to clean their 6n2 dash? I know people use products on the mk4, but its a totally different style of dashboard.

Help appreciated!

I use a damp chamois to wipe the dust away. Also does a good job of removing McDonald's coffee stains from the centre console where it has slopped a bit whilst in the cup holder

I've got some Autoglym interior shampoo cleaner which my sister's fiancee (an Autoglym reseller) reckons will be fine on the dash and won't discolour or give a shiny finish to the dash. Haven't tried it yet though.

You can get wipes for your car interior in Halfords, I saw one labelled "cockpit cleaner" but again, I haven't tried any of these. My concern would be using a product and finding that it leaves a shiny finish, that would be very undesirable!

The damp chamois though, has tackled every mark or smudge I've collected so far

I'll have to try that, I hate it when it rains. You have the door open just long enough for it to get wet and hey presto, big water marks

Hi,

I advise you to get a microfiber cloth and Laquer's All Purpose Cleaner. That's what I use on my car and the result is excellent.

Oddly enough, I used a damp chamois on the door cards the other day and found it cleaned it all nicely 8)

I would hate to use a product that left a shiny dash :x

I have found that must dash cleaners are greasy and give a horrible finish which i dont like

I use a hoover to remove the dust and then use sum warm soapy water to give it a quick wipe over.
