have had this problem ever since i changed the tank 2 years ago

tried:-
new cap,rotor,plugs etc

seems to only do it when car starts getting warm. when it does it, it nearly puts you through the screen!!

Do the injection units give trouble?

any advice

not trying to belittle your question if it came accross that way, just trying to clarify the problem

mk111 1050cc missfire and jerking

is that a bit better!!

when the car gets warm and you accelerate its as if there is something in the fuel line, and jerks all the time like Kangaroo Juice in the tank!!
It is intermittant however and does feel fuel related.

also just to add, that on tick over the revs rise and fall as if its going onto 3 cylinders, about every 2 seconds-in a regular pattern

anyone had similar symptons?

As you have had the problem since fitting a new tank it could be the tank breathers. See if it still happens when you havn't got the filler cap on.
