My exhaust fell off again last night, Its not tied on with rope  Ive had enough of the crappy standard rear mounts, what can I do to fix it once and for all securely? Im thinking something like new mount thats bolted to the chassis. Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

I might be able to help you there. They will need welding on, in stainless.

i have the same problem!! pipe falls off on the rear... the brackets on the exhaust seem to twist the rubbers, and cause them to jump off over bumps and stuff.... i use tie wraps (zip ties) but these break occasionally!! :?

my father said to use coat hanger wire.... not got the chance to use it yet... but seems the cheapest way to do it other wise! hehe

they're not made of the thickest of metal, maybe you could bend them further upwards after putting the rubber mounts on?

an alternative is backing the rubbers up with plastic wire-ties, the kind with the racheting pull-thru mechanism. Just to give it a little extra upwards tension and prevent it coming loose so easily. I drove round for a good few weeks with them alone (old boss coming to the rescue with his bottomless pit of repair supplies in his wideboy vitara - legend) after the old rubbers perished and split.
