hey guys just got polo number 3 which is an 89 saloon in mint condition.im gonna be decking it hopefully and want to know the best way to do it. i have been looking at a venom kit with a 40mm drop as that is the lowest i can find. im planning to run some 5" x 12" steels from demon tweeks.any advice would be great thanks alot.

a 40mm drop won't really be "decking it" mate....and are you sure you've got the wheel sizes right? 5x12" doesn't seem right to me

although correct me if i'm wrong, maybe that's just the look your after

well does anyone know who does a 70mm kit for it?venow do one for the mk2 but it says its for the coupe and sqback so would it fit? the small wheels would give it and old skool look or i might just stick with standard wheels and get some whitewalls and ideas?would 12" wheels clear the discs?

this was restocals old mk2 saloon...

that's 70mm Gmax kit, i don't know if the hatch and coupe kit will work, although someone here will know. and that's 13"x7" compomotives.
i'm not 100% sure but i think 12" wheels will be too small for the brakes etc, i'd go for the 13", still small but will defo fit and it'd be a hell of a lot easier to find 13" alloys than 12" and alot more choice.
bare in mind that my standard wheels are 13"x5.5" and they're tiny, i'm upgrading to put a little more rubber on the road....5" on the road and i wouldn't fancy putting my foot down in the rain

GMAX or VENOM 70mm kit with some weller steel wheels 13 by 7 or 8 inch!!
12's- dont bother- thats too small, 13's are small enough.
