i have seen a couple of polos saloons with square headlights.are these stock on older models or are they aftermarket stuff

They were fitted to the mk1 derby for 1980 and 1981 and the mk2 saloon from 1981 to 1984. After that they had round headlights like other polos. At the time, it was mirroring the jetta, but obviously after a certain point they didnt care anymore.
