Anyone here have an after market alarm on there polo, if so which one what do you think about it.

Any alarm gurus please reply as to what you belive is the best alarm on the market.

Something that a thief will think twice to attempt something.

I knw that if a thief wants something they would probaly try there best to take it, but anything that will maybe make them think twice or really slow them down.

Also thinking about security window film and anyone have knowledge on these.

cheers peeps....

if you wanna go all out then yeah clifford avant garde are the dogs but price reflects that!!

the clifford concept series are all real good and have lots of room for expansion ie remote starts, total closure etc... or a good, cheaper alternative is Avital alarms, cliffords european brand so you get their technology at a good price!

but with a clifford, dont you have that blue flashy thing that basically says "I have something in my car that I dont want you to have!"

Ill 2nd that.

My mate got one on his car.
Some serious stuff going on. There like a sensor when you approach the window which beeps (scares the hell out of you if youre not expecting it)...
The only thing I find quite dumb is he has to wait a couple of secs (10-15) untill he can lock it...

I'll get the model type & what he done from him & then you can do some research on it.

alarms are a waste of time - didnt stop them breaking in once, so why do you think spending a fortune on one will stop them again?

better off installing some security lights at home. Security window film is good, but you still have to replace the window, it just stops the mess!

Ya, the only thing that bothers me about security film is that I'd probably install it, drive down the motorway, get into a smash and end up trapped inside while I slowly burn alive.

get perspecs side windows, the little bastards can be stood there throwing bricks at your windows and will never get in! your windscreen. In a crash you must be able to kick out your windscreen and rear boot/tailgate windows.

Alarms may not be too brilliant, but they still draw attension to what is going on, Get a second ciren installed in the passenger footwell of your car and try and find the highest db one you can, I got a 140db one off ebay for £17 inc postage so if some little bugger tries to break in all you'll need to do is go down the hospital and find out whos called in with bleeding ear drums and you got your man!

I'd still recomend going for the falcon alarm, for the money its by far the best, and still, I can get you discount on it whoch makes it an even better deal, at the moment for £240 you can get the dogs dangalies really which is the evo4 package for a 2 door. you get
