Just following on from the topic about
pancake day, is anyone giving up anything for lent?
After a casual remark in the pub last week, that giving up luxuries like chocolate or beer isn't very hard at all, I've dropped myself in it and am now not having any chocolate or crisps for 40 days and 40 nights
(keeping the beer though!) and my friend Vic has decided she is giving up the booze for lent. Just a bit of fun really!
Anyone else?

Haven't had a drink since last year but.... meh...

i always give up chocolate and sweets for lent and i find it very hard as i love them both!

We've been talking about this in my office this morning!
Range has been between swearing, sweets and sex...
I haven't decided what I'm giving up yet.

well, i
thought i had given up the polo for lent, til i got the call this morning telling me it was "dead" and asking when i could be free to give it a looksee.... gah
mate of mine has given up alcohol for lent, including the 17th march. its a weight-saving move apparently, though i have warned her she'll just be hitting the chocolate even harder...
i, being a bit of an agnostic catholic heathen with a twisted traditional streak, have done just what the good lord intended and given up
pancakes
