dust caps! or other bizzareness

some dum weener (careful, i am holding back) nicked my silver dust caps! how rude, i got them with the wheels and they looked the b**locks!

i barely use my car, as i work far away i use publice transport (my company won't pay petrol! its been sat on my drive for like, ages, and the one time I go out they get nicked! does anyone have anti-theft dust caps? if so, wot they like, do they work? now i have boring black plastic ones and they just don't look good cause there is a crome sleeve around the valve!

what has everyone else had nicked? anything bizzare, i heard of someone gettign there exhaust nicked!

i've had many a stainless bee-sting nicked!

given up buying valve caps - just stick with plastic ones now :cry:

Perhaps you can find some that have those tiny allen screws in them - or, the next time you change tyres, get some of those 'invisible' ones, that are sunk into the wheel. Well, that's what they appear to anyway.

Thieves. Bummer.

Yes, I know the feeling. I lost count of the number of valve caps that have been pinched from my car. Theft is actually one f the reasons I refuse to have and aerial on the car now...

Anyway, try your local car store. Richbrook do casp that have a small screw that prevents them being removed easily.

The alternative is to get flush fitting valves (Demon Tweeks, etc). Note, these look great, but are a bit fiddly when it comes to checked the pressures. You've got to remove the cover with a small coin or key to them use a specific adapter to get air into the tyre. Lose the adapter and you're stuffed.
