Finally got round to doing my first mod to the Lupo at the weekend (only had it 8 weeks!) not a big one, but I like it

They are most definately NOT road legal! not sure what the penalty is for being caught with them is tho but im keeping my original plates and a screwdirver in my boot for when I do

White plates on the back are also not road legal and maybe more obvious than the yellow german plate imo

I think its only a fine if your caught (unless anyone knows better) so im gonna risk it for now

Take it from somebody who found out the other week, it's just a £30 fine they give you.

They took pictures of mine, and said if we see them again you'll be reported to the DVLA.

Although with mine it was the spacing that's different. You may get away with the German style ones.

Here's the one I was pulled for (pre bumper smoothing), although it's illegal, in my eyes it's not really that bad, I've seen a hell of a lot worse!

They are actually sold as "show" plates so that is their intended purpose, im just conveniently forgetting to take mine off after any shows

Well I have a wide choice of plates to choose from now.

2 Set's of illegal plates, the one in the pic and one with a straightened 7 with a cap next to it see pic



and 2 set's of legal plates, one set at 520mm wide and one set at 420mm wide (currently on the car over the illegal ones )

What happens if your reported to the DVLA?

i think i might actually go for them, and conveniantly forget to take them off after shows too

I could face a £1000 fine and lose the right to my registration.

That's more for private plates though, if you got pulled you may get either a VDRS which gives you 14 days to change it and a HORT1 aka Producer (to take your documents to the Police station)

Or a £30 fine, all depends really who pulls you. For the plate with the straightened 7 I got a VDRS and for the other one (in the big pic) I got a £30 fine.

Yes mate that's my name

That was the first plate I had which lasted 7 months, the one in my sig lasted about 5 months

ah that sucks, very short lived plates

I now have some secret ones which will only be used for shows
