several of my favourite net-based bands seem to be ditching their own homemade sites for myspace and it's doing my nut.... it only allows 4 different tracks hosted at once, needs membership, keeps losing the files, does odd things with the volume in the player etc
arrrgh
then again it should be very handy for discovering new stuff and keeping "in touch" with them as it were

Well Arctic Monkeys first released their music on myspace, and they got a record deal through it.
55 million people or something are members, its so easy to stumble across a bands profile that you love the sound off, and it also acts a start for bands that want to get their music on the internet, but have no html skills.
I use it to practice for a career in computing or programming, and socialising.

Well, arctic monkeys are not any normal band, they are a very talented fresh bunch of artists. unlike most the crap on myspace they actually have some talent.

Theres alot of talented bands on myspace that you have probably never come across.
What i was saying is if it wasnt for them posting their songs on the internet, they wouldnt have it so easy.
