i removed my rear wiper motor and arm from the hatch last week. here are some photos:
The wiper arm had lost its function as it was not wiping properly and actually making the window more dirty... that was my excuse for having this clean look
hope you like it
cheers
What did you use to cap off the hole? Did you glue it in place? Water-tight?
Thanks for any info
i used a plastic cap that goes on top of the suspension strut head under the bonnet, it is the perfect size for the job! I used black silicone to glue it, it seems pretty watertight at the moment.
hope this helps
I looked it up after first posting, found the cap mentioned, but thought it would be too big too fit - only now I notice this is not a mk5 polo lol, so I was looking at the wrong year suspension! doh... always using it to look at 2000 polo's, its a habit clicking polo 2000 hehe
to remove the wiper arm i put some wd40 and used brutal force!
hope this helps
Thanks for the link jus had another go with WD40, and the wiper arm is fully stuck ive done everything else, like unscrew the motor jus need to get the arm off to finish it up. Any techniques to get the arm off?
