Hi guys/gals
I'm looking to purchase a BMC induction kit, but before i do i would like to know a little more about them.
1. I would like to know which is the most popular for the polo GTI
2. How easy they are to fit?
3. How much and where from?
4. What are the advantages?
Cheers guys!!
P.s After looking at Neilw pic's can anyone confirm whether you can or cannot put engine cover back on once kit is in place??

This should confirm it for you.
Possibly the nicest one I've seen fitted (Moynas GTi)

Right mate here we go:
1, BMC CDA
2, 20 minute job!
3, £160 from Larkspeed (local performance shop)
4, nice little rumble and "whaaaarp" sound with increased smoothness and more pull at lower revs!
Need any more help get in touch with we via MSN.

I'm not 100% sure but I know he had a vent put in the right side wing.

That piping looks to me as though its taking an air feed from down at the bottom of the engine behind the passenger fog light to the black piping that shoots off toward the drivers side wheel arch!
There's is a ducting pipe behind the passenger fog, feeding the lower part of the engine with cold air!

That cold air feed over the manifold cover works well BUT i've taken it of now as with the side vent and that pipe gave me to much air! Dont want to over air the filter really!
It sounds strange but without it there you can really tell the difference!!
The pipe is run from the passenger side fog but you have to be careful how you run it because it can get in the fans way!!
Also ive cut the top of the engine cover off now because mine was rubin on the bonnet and it was drivin me mad!!
Ill post pics if you want! or if your at santa pod ill be more than welcome to show it off!!

You sound like some criminal rehabitation officer there phil ! I think its definately worth it as long as you make sure to get a decent air feed to it, usig the standard black piping I didn't notice much difference but with a 100mm intake piping (to the same place as the standard piping) it sounds very sweet and it definately increases responsivness !

Yeah honestly, the power is more instant from low down, and one think i noticed is that you dont notice when more people are in your car where as you do quite easily without it. Honest, that and a cat back exhaust (my supersprint) make for the best to mods i say pound for pound. Cant really do much more to the gti anyway without serious cash for little gain.

Not that loud.
It's mainly on wide throttle opening that it becomes loud. Well mine does anyway.
