So anyway was driving down to jabba sport today to get a power run on my girlfriend's little GT 3F engine on carbs.

(This is my missus who decided we should do this)

Get there get it all booked in and strapped onto the rolling road, she is having her power run which come out at 85 bhp, this is on a stock engine may i add. :D (pretty good for 10 bhp up on a stock engine which is good)

She wasnt as high we'd i hoped in terms of tuneablility. So we decided to go out, get a trailer and drive to Bridgend in Wales (left at 2pm Saturday and got home at 3am sunday) as go buy a G40 engine, as she now doesn't like her GT engine as its too SLOW..... :D

The G only has 61 k on the clock, sounds sweet, so here comes an engine change in the next 2 weeks.

Should be running at first about 120-130bhp, so my girlfriend can get used to the car before i chip and pulley it, 51mm throttle body and a few tricks things, the power to weight in her to start off is about 185 bhp /ton :D )

When finsihed it should be running about 150-160 bhp (if not more :D which i think is ample) As the power to weight is 220-235 bhp per ton nice and fast in her little mk2 polo (it only weighs 680kg!!!).

Oh ive missed G power, not driven a G in ages! :D :D

Can't say in general but I think G'ing your car just to get one up on the missus definately counts!

ah no no no, the G40 engine is being fitted into my girlfriend's mk2 Polo Coupe S. My polo has a tad more CC and power, lol.

Gonna run her G using my G40 charger off the black racer, its got a G40 cup car exhaust already on the car so gonna use that and my induction kit. Bits off my racer are gonna be put on it.

Just gonna spec it initially as:
1. G40 Cup exhaust
2. Flowed G40 inlet manifold (dont want a GT one, want to keep the torque)
3. Flowed throttle body
4. boost return mod and blanked off 2nd charger inlet.
5. Initially standard charger (then running my flowed charger off the race car)
6. Inlet collar and induction kit with heatshield (mk2 polo, dont have the luxury of a foglight hole)
7. W4DPO plugs, and Nology 10mm ignition leads.
8. Mocal oil cooler

Then once she's happy it'll have my G60 green injectors, an SNS chip put on, 65mm pulley and 51mm TB.

Will be sorting out a G60/Eaton style charger belt conversion (i dont want to run a toothed belt)

im gone NA im afraid now on my mk3 race car, 1.8 20v on 40mm jenvey individual throttle bodies and DTA. The Berg Cup cars have converted me!!! High revving, mental looking and a glued to the floor chassis. 8)

yeah thats it (jade green, stripped out with a rollcage). The NA engine just wasn't fast enough for her, and i'd talked about how well a G goes so much that i converted her aswell to wanting one.

Still gonna use the 1400 16v gearbox and quick shifter on it but will keep the G40 gearbox as a spare.

The shell of the car we picked up was mint and sanded down ready for painting, so i may reshell my race car into that and stick the 20v into it.
