I've got to buy 4 new tyres for my car, what do you think i should do:

- Buy the tyres myself and fit them - how hard is this? (saving of about £12 per tyre)

- Buy the tyres and have them fitted for the extra £10 per tyre

(this is from looking at BlackCircles.co.uk - you can either mail order or have them fitted..)

Also, there's a great tyre place in my area and i can get Trade discount there, and they will only charge for the tyres themselves, fitting is free..

Fitting tyres yourself isn't really something you want to be doing, unless you happen to have access to a tyre fitting machine and know exactly what you're doing. Plus you'll need to get the wheels balanced when the new tyres are on, which tends to be included in the fitting charge if you get them done professionally. Best to splash out the extra tenner a tyre ;)

i'll probably get my tyres delivered then take them to a fitting place and get them put on....but my brother did the paying extra thing and he was really happy with it, they even came out to him whilst he was at work and fitted them there. not bad for about £10 extra
