Me and my mate ash fitting 16v kit.

wow the car looks sweet as, what did you need for the 16v brake conversion, and when you fitted the 16v rear bumper, when you took of your old one did only the top part come of then you removed the bottom bit or did all of it come off together? as im trying to fit a valver bumper as we speak but ive given up lol.
cheers Ant

I found an automatic with vwll brakes on it, so i took the suspension and the hubs off it. then just ground all the s**t off it and painted it all, here are photos of the second day, the 1st day are on my camera, these are form my phone:

just got carriers on, calipers come next,

just got the calipers on here.

Here is the final result, couldnt get the centre caps back on as locating pins bent

get some more tomorrow it be ok.
Then here are some pics of my engine overhaul:
Then had to grind my valves into the seats to create a better seal as all the exhaust valves were shot!

Thanks for all the feedback everyone, its easy to get bored polo boi, just keep at it, the result is always worth it.
paul007, 16v bumpers you mean? they are faily easy on the polo scale, on par with fitting a sub and wheels added together say.

I got myself a nice new set of pedals the other day, here's some snaps:
Here's the pedals as they were:
Bang a centre punch on it to get you started:
Ones you're punched you can drill a small hole in the pedal then open it up with a bigger drill bit, you need to be careful that you dont keep going through the floor pan though, just try not to put too much pressure on the pedal and you'll be fine.:
Then put some 5mm tap heads in and you're done:
I didnt do the clutch pedal as I ran out of light, plus it's plastic so i want to put a backing plate on to drill into.
Cheers, Ollie.
