Just painted my rearview mirror black, looks very good, a must do simple cheap mod

Just pull the thing off, tape the glass up with quality painters masking tape push the tape around the edge of the glass with your fingernails and trim around the edge with a very sharp blade being careful not to scratch the glass.

Paint and your done!

Note for those of you less familiar with the mirror

The base of the mirror twists off 90 degrees... I just can't remember which way. The mirror is then attached to the base in the form of a ball joint

the base twists 90 degrees to the left... Found this out after I broke my first windshield

im twisting with all my might to the left, it moves alittle but not even 10mm....whats going on?!!?
