Ok there's the problem.... I've just brought a new headunit (Alpine CDA-9847R) for my 5 door polo (52 reg) and new speakers (Rainbow SLX230 deluxe for the front and SL130 for the rear) to replace the Beta stereo and factory speakers. I have managed to get the door covers off the front door and to my horror  found that the standard front speakers are fixed on with rivets. :( How do i get these off and put my new speakers in? Also the rear door just has a foam pad covering the hole where the rear speakers should be, with no wiring or anything. How do i fix my new speakers in and wire them up? Do i need brackets to fit them in? Help!!! I also want to soundproof the doors. What is the best stuff to get?

I have had a look through previous discussions on this forum but cannot find anything regardng this. Can someone help? I have been to my local dealer and they will fit them for my but at a cost of £200!!

Check out www.CarAudioDirect.co.uk and then a make called second skin.

Apparently that is really good sound deadening.

this HAS been covered, 9N rear speakers or somthing. drill the rivets out and screw or rivet the new speakers in.
