the C20XE is one of the best vauxhall engines you can get your hands on! built to withstand time, very versitile and extremially tuneable...

What capacity is it, and how much power does it put out? Looks like a 16v, yeah? Certainly looks like a bit of fun.. another for the list of potential conversions for the scirocco

It's a 2 litre 16v DOHC. Standard it put out about 150bhp.
The Turbo version was about 204bhp, but was very tunable.

Mmmm..... turboed 20LET goodness would also be handy - the most popular astra/cavvy GSi > nova conversion. not as hot at the top end, but walloping torque output
at least from the sheer number of mig topics on that subject... beware of vaguely chav looking novas that could well fit into the 'sleeper' catagory as they might be packing nearly 200 horses.

Meh, I'd have put the 225bhp 1.8T Audi engine in

I know a guy with the C20LET which was 280 bhp at 6500 RPM and 274 lb/ft at 5500 RPM last time I spoke to him and has since had more engine work done.
Have a courtney tuned XE ready to go in the corsa running twin 45's which is breaking around 190 when it was put on a rolling road when it was once in a nova.
If those cars were photoshopped then theyve done a very convinsing job of it and would have a good career doing those sorts of things for magazenes.
The bottom car is just the right colour for a nice burbery hat!

should draw lines on it?
