For a few reasons we have recently questioned whether we should keep the polo - so glad we did.
We had a return trip to Norwich from Glasgow this easter and plans to take the saab fell through (bloody locking wheel nuts over torqued by garage!) so we took the polo. Me, pregnant Mrs and 12 year old, plus baggage drove the 880mile 14 hour round trip and arrived feeling as fresh as we had left. It may not cruise as well as the saab but it does everything else just as well - in fact the seats are better - there was no backache or numbness whatsoever. Exactly the same on the return trip. All this while hovering above 4000rpm in fifth 90% of the journey and still returning 34mpg.
Just a really impressive experience and reminded me what an all rounder this car really is!
I guess we've all had moments when it's reminded us how good it is.
