Knocking when I steer!

I am getting knocking through the pedals when I steer!!! anyone else have had this? pissing me off, hope it's not the pump. You can't feel the knocking through the steering wheel though?

Any idea's

hiya mate, i had this problem reacently and it was due to one of the bushes on the front passenger suspention arm, once i got that fixed it stopped but it cost quite alot to get fixed because its easier and probably cheaper to get a whole new suspention arm. im not saying go get one straight away but it might be a good idea to let someone have a look or something. have you hit a kurb or something quite hardly recently or anything?

No nothing :? it was fine friday, then get in it on sat and there it was at the pedals. can't feel it through the steering wheel though. very strange.

when i had a knocking it was only one i could hear?!? and that was because of a shot engine mount!?!?

Nope wasn't that, it was the universal Joints within the steering column!

just get ur balljoints an bushens checked out, its probaly summit really odd that u wudnt think would make that noise.

I did get it checked out lol, it was the universal Joints within the steering column. had it wd40'd all sorted now :D

mine happened not long before i sold it, i explained it to the guy and he said he'd sort it so i never had to fiddle with it, just put up with it for a short while!
