sorry dude, i did tell you that mk2 1 litres aren't desirable at the moment, as much as i love my car and even in it's good condition i know if i sold it i wouldn't expect more than £300 :(

fortunately i'm not selling mine because i still love it to bits :D

I'll be honest with you, you're not going to get more than £350 for a 1 litre mk2 on an owners forum, whatever you've done to it.. I'd say £350 is a pretty reasonable asking price for your car if it's in good condition mechanically and cosmetically. You should try advertising it locally though, cars like this just don't sell to owners clubs. Think about it, everyone here already has a polo, and they're only likely to sell up and buy a new one if it's a fairly high spec, ie S, GT, G40 etc. A base model mk2 is unlikely to sell unfortunately
Advertising it locally you'll also get a bit more money for it, I'd advertise for £450 in local papers but be prepared to negotiate. Also try to get some adverts up in any local 6th form colleges and universities, they're going to be your prime target to sell to really.
Good luck with the sale, sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but if you want to sell up quickly I'm afraid you have to really look hard at how you're trying to sell it.
