HI Guys

I live in Gauteng, South Africa. I managed to get my hands on a Polo Classic. At the moment i'm restoring it. Having the whole car resprayed, changing the wheels and then planning on doing, well actually replacing the engine....Thinking of 2.0 16V long block....

Has any1 done anything similar to this....Please let me know....

Also I need help on lowering ? Will the Golf 1 coils fiton the Polo or will i have to import a set of coils ?

Thanks
Shaheen

They are 17's guys.....Stil Auto mags

Why do you say the 16V motor is gonna be too heavy ???

I was planning on working the whole motor....Blue print, head job, 45 Dellorto sidedrafts......should be quite wicked considering how light the body is.....

think for a 2.0 long block you'd need a new bonnet, too... unless you're planning on making it mid or even rear engined (stick it in the saloon boot!). thing about the long blocks is... the block... is long (ie tall)... and guess what the polo engine bay isnt?
